Choices and Changes Reentry Homes provides a welcoming, substance-free shared living environment where residents support one another in maintaining sobriety and building stable daily routines. Our peer-led approach encourages shared responsibility, positive relationships, and accountability. Residents follow house rules, respect shared spaces, and contribute to a household that supports personal growth. Our sober living home provides housing and peer encouragement; residents access clinical treatment and professional recovery services through outside providers.
Returning to the community can bring challenges with housing, employment, family relationships, and everyday responsibilities. We offer encouragement and connections to community resources that help residents navigate this transition. Residents can receive referrals for assistance with identification, public benefits, transportation, employment, and other practical needs. We encourage each resident to take an active role in rebuilding their life, developing positive routines, and working toward greater independence.
We connect residents with community organizations that help people prepare for employment and navigate the job search process. Depending on the provider, services may include résumé development, interview preparation, job applications, workplace communication, and connections to employment opportunities. These referrals help residents access support as they build confidence and pursue financial stability. Job readiness services are provided by our referral partners.
Peer mentoring offers residents encouragement, connection, and an opportunity to learn from people with relevant lived experience. Through supportive conversations and practical guidance, peer mentors help residents reflect on challenges, recognize their strengths, and stay focused on personal goals. Our approach emphasizes listening, respect, accountability, and positive decision-making. Peer mentoring builds a sense of belonging and complements professional services residents may receive elsewhere.
We help residents explore educational and training opportunities that align with their interests and long-term goals. Referrals may include adult education, GED or high school equivalency programs, community college, vocational training, apprenticeships, and certification programs. We encourage residents to connect with providers to learn about eligibility, enrollment, costs, and available assistance. Education and training are delivered by outside institutions and community partners.
Supportive family relationships can play a meaningful role in recovery and successful reentry. We encourage residents to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and develop healthy boundaries with loved ones when appropriate. Our support includes peer encouragement and referrals to community organizations offering parenting education, family counseling, and other family resources. We respect each resident’s circumstances and recognize that reconnecting with family is a personal process that takes time.
Job readiness, vocational training, and education are provided by external organizations, not Choices & Changes Reentry Homes.
